Let's not forget the epic work Dave did as host of two RockStar series.

And of course there's his most famous role (by a mile) as Mr. Carmen Electra. Kinda sad that most people know him for this and nothing else.

In all honesty, this is by far his most entertaining work since "Ritual De Lo Habitual".  And I'm being totally serious.

I am not one for nostalgia shows, but Lollapalooza 1991 was my first US show and it was pretty darn intense. I was semi-unfamiliar with NIN at the time (i know PHM came out 2 years before, but gimme a break i had just turned 14!!) and i was pretty blown away.  I just went for Living Colour!

I went to that one. The show I was at, the prerecorded music went haywire, and little Trent got pissed and ran off the stage in a snit.

I read on another board that this might be the date.  Nissan, too bad.
June 11th - Nissan Pavillion at Stone Ridge, Bristow Va

the last jane's addiction tour was terrible.

Highly disagree.. Last show at Nissan was pretty sick, Had a great time. While I agree that individually, memebers have not lived up to theyre past potential (although I did love Porno for Pyros) as Janes Addiction they just click and make amazing music together. I personally loved the Last Janes cd, it was straight ahead, kick ass rock, what's wrong with that?

You use the phrases "pretty sick" and "kick ass rock". Enough said.

It's pretty obvious that your not a fan of any kind of rock Charlie. But congrats that you feel your obviously so much better than me because I use certain terms for music you deem juvenile or low class. Maybe I should have said "swell" or "really fabulous" to describe my feelings? yeah I can feel that vibe from you.

How is it pretty obvious that I'm not a fan of any kind of rock? I'm going to see DBT tomorrow night, and they rock harder than most.

I don't deem your phrasing juvenile or low class. They just sounds like phrases of inexperience. Forgive e if i'm wrong.

as someone who still looks back at lollapalooza 1 as a watershed day, i love the pairing . . . with reservations.  think it has the makings of a cool summer show at Merriweather. . . although it just seems like an 'early 90's brand' nostalgia show at Nissan . . .and given Jane's members post-1991 track record, they should really try to concentrate on getting it right.

Ding ding ding ding.  Once they gave up on the hard stuff, this band made itself totally obselete.  For those of you that go you better hope they stock up on smack for this tour.  Otherwise it's 90 minutes of Perry's PT Barnum and Dave's nipple rings.

Also file me under those that consider Lollapalooza 1 a watershed day.

I saw Jane's in small places before that tour, and to me they were never as good as they were at Lollapalooza.  Their music totally became huge to match the venues, and seeing them in a big place added to the experience rather than took away from it.

NIN was also amazing on that tour.  I will never forget the big fat shirtless guitarist dusted in yellow something with electrical tape over his nipples.  Also seeing Trent for the first time knock down other band members as they were playing was pretty cool.

I will definitely go to this.  Jane's without Eric Avery was not even remotely the same.  I'm sure they will only focus on the records with Avery, which is fine with me.
