Sleep Token
Mon 20 May - The Met Presented By Highmark, Philadelphia, PA
Wed 22 May - Radio City Music Hall, New York City, NY

these guys are so good.  i didn't share a top-albums-of-the-year list, but if i did their Take Me Back to Eden would be right at the top.  not sure how to categorize these guys (alt metal?  progressive metal?  symphonic metal?  indie (hard) rock?  indie metal?  post-rock?  post-metal??) but they're probably my top new band of 2023.  i was bummed that i had to miss their seattle show back in september, but i guess a cousin's wedding needs to come first grumble grumble...

I had a ticket to their Baltimore show, but I bailed. I just couldn't rally that night :(

It’s geared towards a bit different demographic (younger and more urban)

HFS is geared to people that went to HFS festivals…you know people like your old friend Doug

Remember those old BBQ shows? I think HFS is more like that
