got a few chuckles from this:

The Navy SEAL who shot Bin Laden is hyping a new brewing company. We tried their beer so you don’t have to
Just how special is Armed Forces Brewing Company's 'Special Hops' IPA?

heads-up for those wanting to relive their college days one last time before the supply dries up:

Molson Coors Discontinues 11 Beers Including Keystone Ice and Milwaukee's Best Premium
CEO Gavin Hattersley did offer a broader explanation. "After an extensive analysis of our business, we are meaningfully streamlining and premiumizing our U.S. portfolio,"

^ SERIOUZ BIDNIZ SPEEK

on the chopping block:
  • Keystone Ice
  • Keylightful
  • Icehouse Edge
  • Milwaukee's Best Premium
  • Miller High Life Light (someone check in on smackie...)
  • Hamm's Special Light
  • Steel Reserve 211
  • Olde English HG 800
  • Magnum
  • Mickey's Ice
  • Henry Weinhard's Private Reserve
folks in the PNW are whining about that last one, as Henry's was a gateway beer to craft for many (especially around portland, i'm told).

this one made me chuckle: Milwaukee's Best Premium

I mean it's pretty much a light beer already and is Miller Lite kinda that beer
I don't think this beer had wide disto

These seem to all be offshoots of beers I may have had in high school. Never seen most of em.

except that keystone light isn't on that list, so it will live on.  keystone ice is about to be retired.

i was kinda shocked to learn that anyone is still making "ice" beers.  they were a huge fad in canada in the late 80's?  early 90's?  for a while they were everywhere.

this one made me chuckle: Milwaukee's Best Premium

how can he be premiumizing his portfolio if he's dropping Milwaukee's Best Premium??

well miller high life is "light" in terms of flavor and mouthfeel, but you can always lower the ABV and the calories by making it even lighter...

Miller high life is the champagne of beers

Way better than Miller lite which is like drinking water

Miller high life at least in this part of the country seems to be getting harder to find… kinda seems like they are phasing it out

Mickey's Ice.

That is as rock bottom, before rehab, as you get.  I should, know.  Drank it.  Drank Mickey's Big Mouth.  Dear God, how drunk I got.

Do they still make Mickey's in a wide mouth bottle? Twas a game changer, for a minute, in high school.

High Life is a great light beer. If a dive bar has the usual limited choices, High Life is the pick.

Even in bottles?  Cans were always the rarities. Or so it seemed.

Not sure where you guys are having a hard time finding high life, but it's always stacked in my fridge right next to the Modelitos.

The Number Nine Lounge in the Del Rey neighborhood of Alexandria used to sell High Life served in a champagne flute.  I was in heaven when they served it.
