Stopped into Perfect Pour on the way to Baltimore yesyterday. Agree with Brennser. Great selection, high prices. Compared to my most usual place...Total Wine and Whole Foods.

Also went on the Heavy Seas Brewery tour. Nice tour with pint glass and five 5 oz pours for $5.

I have not been to PPour since the liquor tax went into effect - definitely higher than places in DC or NOVA.  Unfortunately there are no Total Wine or Whole Foods (with liquor) up here that I know of.

I don't mind paying a higher price there when I'm looking for something special. Especially since it's a short drive from my house (unlike every store in VA).  They stock everything.  (like all those Hitachinos).  I'll pay an extra dollar or two for that.

Darth Ed,

Have you tried Hennepin? As good as Saison Dupont (which is indeed very good), but cheaper.

had the Hennepin last weekend- i was wary at first because i had the Saison Rue, and basically poured that out as undrinkable, but the Hennepin was very nice.  (there is a restaurant in Oakland that has it on draft)

coronado idiot ipa- wonderful, although perhaps a bit too bitter on the finish

anderson valley imperial double IPA- very nice double IPA, but not on the Pliny or Tricerhops level.

will have to think about the rest that i had....

I have been pleasantly surprised by all their beers but the Corruption(an IPA) is the real standout so far for me. If you like em hoppy this one is well worth trying. It's kinda cool to have a DC brewery that is turning out really decent beer, hopefully 3 Stars and Chocolate City (two more soon to be in production DC breweries) will follow suit with some solid offerings.

Have one in the fridge to go with dinner tonight. Nice session beer.

For true meanness, try the Backwoods Bastard.  ;D

Haha, don't worry about it. I've said plenty of awful things on here I didn't mean to say too.

I'll have to think of what beers make me come...
