I guess it's a matter of semantics. Yes, most of the beer consumed is between 4-6%. That's because 90+% of the US beer market is still Bud/Miller/Coors swill.
I was comparing it to actual
different beers. There are many, many different beers that are above 7.5%. Doesn't mean that's what
most people drink though.
it is a lot higher than non us beers and I would bet it is a lot higher than most us beers that people actually drink. I would bet 99 percent of beer consumed would be in the 4% to 6% range. Just because brands like dogfish head produce 25 different beers most over 7 percent I would assume the beer they sell the most of by far is 60 minute IPA which is 6 percent.
