Sunday, August 18 ? The Bluejacket Sneak Preview BBQ ? To cap off the week, Bluejacket will host its first-ever soiree from 3 PM to 7 PM at the soon-to-open brewery, slated to officially open in early September. The Bluejacket team invites you to join them for a good ol' fashion Sunday backyard BBQ, an intimate gathering, hosted by Beer Director Greg Engert and Brewmaster Megan Parisi, that will feature a number of Bluejacket brews, a selection of backyard BBQ eats by Executive Chef Kyle Bailey, plus a guided tour of the three-vessel brewhouse, barrel-aging platforms and 19 different fermentation vessels, all encompassed within the multi-leveled 11,000 square-foot space. Tickets are priced at $65 per person and include all food and beverage. I always forget about Unibroue. But they are owned by Sapporo, so they're a special case.

Same experience for me. Tons of Quebec beers, no clues which ones to bring home. This time I think I'll check out Beer Advocate and Ratebeer.  As well as go somewhere else in addition to the Dieu du Ciel brewpub.

My Quebec beer experience has been limited to Dieu du Ciel

when i was last there, over Christmas, i was blown away with how many microbrews were available in depaneurs (convenience stores).  99% were brands i had never heard of.  i would expect many of them to be merely average, like most new craft breweries, but the choice was impressive.

I'm not even sure where to begin in my beer travels of the weekend, but it was the best beer adventure I've ever been on and I'm willing to say that Burlington is the best beer town in the country (probably world).

It's a shame atomicfront will never get to try any of these great beers.

I wonder why someone who has another person on ignore care about what beer that person gets a chance to drink?  Who knows though..maybe one day they will ship the stuff to Maryland or I will have to travel on business to Vermont.

I went to a party Saturday where the beer choices were:

Sam Adams Summer Ale
Yuengling
Corona Light (or regular Corona...is there a difference?)
Leinenkugel Summer Shandy

I had the Sam. Was fine for washing down the spicey food they were serving, but I couldn't finish the second bottle once I was out of food.

You should have told the host how stupid they were for not buying superior beer and thrown a Yuengling at them and said check Beer Advocate next time. 

I am not a fan Sam Adams Summer Ale.  I would probably have drunk the Corona if they had limes.
