mikkeller, good

heavy seas, not good.  after having two of them in my life, one being hopthreeipa and then something else at some concert that was better than what i was drinking, but that wasnt saying much, i can say i dont think it is quality; well atleast not quality enough for my tender tongue of beer tastiness.

are there any good beer bars in Georgetown other than Pizza P?  their current tap list is uninspiring.  i need a place to meet someone tomorrow night.

do those crazy zedik farms people still roam around georgetown selling their revolution t shirts and "art" book.  i bought them all, because i find people such as thus, to be interesting.  you should have a beer with them and discuss . . . the universe.

oh wait . . . nevermind

ok, youre on your own.  go to dean and deluca. do they serve beer in their cute little cozy outside sitting places?

wait a minute, the beer isnt called hopthreeipa . . . it is loose cannon.  nice?  nice?  i find it tasting like metal and no sense of the word hop.  maybe i am crazy, or maybe you are.  with beer, who cares.  im still drinking it by the way, because even beer i hate, i continue drinking it.

maybe you got a bad batch, or your bottles were stored in the hot sun before getting into your hands?

i've have loose cannon a few times now and i find it to be a solid IPA.  not world-class, but solid.

it has a respectable 91 on beeradvocate ;D

you know, i have always thought about how dumb it is of me to think that beer can never been "ruined" before they get to you, that somehow all beers are perfect in their states of brewery to mouth.

i was given a 120 minute this weekend.  i'm wondering if i should drink it now, or age it?  if so, for how long?  it was bottled in february.

age at least a year.  some people say 2 years is the sweet spot.  i cracked mine a year in, and while it was wonderful and better than it was fresh, i feel like i jumped the gun.

i love 120 on draft, but the bottles seem to be a bit harsh fresh.

Not that I'm aware of... but I frequent G-town once every three to four years.

Had a Long Trail Blackbeary Wheat.  It was mediocre at best. So much for Vermont Beer all being great.

At Newport Folk Festival all they had for beer was Newport Storm beer.  4 Varieties. IPA, Heifweizen, Amber Ale, Blueberry.  All had one thing in common.  THey were absolutely awful.  I mean worse than Nattie Boh awful.

Finally I found out they had Woodchuck Cider.  It was quite tasty and is from Vermont.  So Magic Hat and Woodchuck Cider in one state.  Not bad.

ok i have to admit the regular genessee did not meet my minimal expectations.

i'm now doing a tasting of the better reputed genessee cream ale (pretty good scores) and will report back soon...
