i've really been enjoying the Bluejacket beers -- no huge showstoppers for me, but a lot of quality.

bird of prey on cask is my favorite so far.

I went to Bluejacket over the weekend. The space is amazing but the beers were average at best. Debuting with 20+ beers seemed like a bit much. I'm sure over time they'll get better, but right now I don't see a reason to go back just yet. It was also incredibly crowded for 4pm.

weekday lunch is the way to go if you can swing it -- bartenders are chatty and generous on the tasters

$50 in food and drinks for $25 today on City Paper Real Deal. That's a lot of beer on half price draft Wednesdays.

Another good City Paper Real Deal today.

$8 gets you a brand new 32 oz growler filled with any beer on draft (I don't think it includes the ultra-premium stuff, but I got a nice Belgian trippel when I did the deal in the summer) at P St Whole Foods.

Great deal if you're in need of a 32 oz growler (which I've found to be much more practical than 64 oz growlers).

the fine print says "Offer good towards one 32 oz. or 64 oz. growler ($5 value) filled with up to $10 worth of beer".  so sounds like you need to choose a beer that costs $10 or less to fill.  if you get a 64 oz, you're not getting anything premium for $10.  you should still be able to get something very nice, and likely to not knock you unconscious after 64 oz of it ;D

another great deal.  city paper is delivering!

Ah, ok. Maybe another reason why I went with the 32 oz. This was the beer I got with that deal.

http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/48/13889

Pretty rate, highly rated, and delicious. And it was $10 or less for 32 oz.

I think it's the house beer for this cool little pub that I've walked by twice but didn't go in either time while in Bruges (I think the first time we were there because it wasn't baby friendly, and the second time because it happened to be closed.)

Some of you may already know this story but....

I bought four bottles of their regular GBS last month. A couple hours later I had it on draft and HATED it. So I traded the four bottles, and got some really nice stuff in return.

Can only imagine what trade values these are going to have.

I guess I meant based on what I was being offered for the regular stuff, I can only imagine what people will offer for the bourbon aged, now (more) rare version.

Most likely the cost of the bottle.

Wow, Ab InBev got a lot of money from me this week. I feel like atomicfront picked my pocket.

Actually I sold after 3 weeks of owning it.  It went up 9 percent in 3 weeks and I felt it was overvalued to begin with.  So no more money to me.  If it goes back down I will buy again but until then if you are in China use China Mobile.
