True, but a two hour wait for beer whether it's gorgeous out or sweltering hot ain't worth it!

Managed to get in to Aslin yesterday.  I had a window of time yesterday that happened right when the brewery crowd started to thin.  The beer was really good.  I'm not used to that super unfiltered IPA style.  The fact that the beer was born that day made a huge difference.  I got to try Small Town IPA, Hoppy Saison and Astro Zombie IPA.  Even manged to leave with 2 crowlers without a wait.  I'll count myself lucky.

Yup... never going to aslin even on a weekday.

I think this insanity will wear out
If I had a food truck, I'd be there
Although you'd have to get out of the truck to take the orders

I definitely going to do afternoon rides this summer, as going there when it opens is no longer a good option
seems like the sweet spot is between 3-5 pm to get there

If it's a beer in the Top 250, looks like Aslin will get crazy. If it's not, not so crazy. They also limited the crowler sales, or they probably would have been out of IPA for a thir straight Sunday.

Now drinking a small growler of Ocelot Two Lost Souls, purchased less than a mile from my house, and not missing Aslin at all.

After going to Vermont for my cousin's wedding this past weekend, I think I'd rather just move there than deal with an area of densely populated beer nerds and limited supply (at least until places like Aslin start meeting demand and canning, that is). Lined up for Heady at Winooski on Saturday - got there on the later side so was only able to procure two 4-packs but hey, guess what, they just throw in a four-pack of Sip as a consolation. I could have lined up earlier and got a case but I also have a newborn and having the opportunity to sleep in was something I couldn't pass up. This was actually the last weekend they received a full shipment of HT as Alchemist is cutting down their deliveries to all stores in anticipation of the brewery opening (where you will also be able to buy Focal!).

Then my brother and I drove over to Fiddlehead and bought some Mastermind. It's interesting to note that Mastermind runs $78 for 12oz while a case of Heady is $75 for 16oz. Not to get all James Fordy on you guys but that is a substantial difference. After dropping the beer off in our hotel room, we made our way to Waterbury for lunch at Prohibition Pig. Still had Bantam on tap so I had to get that - it is such a sneakingly good beer. The wedding itself was in Shelburne and looked over Lake Champlain - so picturesque, and featured a Ben and Jerry's ice cream cart for dessert! Great, great weekend.
