Well I know for sure that Brew Belly has 1/2 price drafts today.  Doesn't include crowlers tho.

Had a case of Suarez cans shipped to me that ended up leaking/one can was broke...

Suarez followed up, apologized, and even after I said it wasn't necessary sent me another half case of beer, free of charge.

Now that is what you call good customer service.

Sapwood is offering a brett horizontal tasting. Cool opportunity to learn about a few things this"wild yeast" can do:

"Today we're tapping six new beers... sort of, and the Chicken Box Truck will be here! Since October we've had six kegs of our Belgian Single getting funky with different strains/blends of the wild microbe Brettanomyces (Brett) from White Labs and Omega Yeast. We'll have all of them on tap today-only if you're interested in side-by-side tasting the range of earthy, pineapple, hay, and mango aromatics created by time and fermentation! Fun if you are a homebrewer interested in brewing with Brett, or just as a beer drinker interested in expanding your palate!

Brett is a big part of our barrel-aged sour beer program, but it doesn't create the sourness. All six Brett Trials are dry with snappy carbonation, but from there they have diverged considerably."

TAN: i've only had one root canal in my life, and frankly it was a life-saver.  whatever i had going on inside my tooth was by far the most painful thing i had ever experienced.  ever.  i was a wreck for days.  i was told i needed a root canal but the very words scared me so i avoided it but eventually the pain forced me into the dentist's chair.  the second that the dentist got to the center of my tooth and relieved the pressure was one of the most blissful moments ever.  i was hopped up on major painkillers so between the buzz and the instant pain relief, the overall experience of my root canal was positive for me.  i'm fully aware of how abnormal my assessment is.

I've had a root canal, and several other things in my life hurt more, physically. I was told there was  about a 20% chance of my tooth surviving the root canal, and it did. No problems since. Good thing i had a great specialist.

Anyway, if any of you homebrewers are looking to start a brewery, and want to move to Asheville, this one looks quite reasonable.

I had most of a can of an Aslin stout last night. It was so, so sweet I had to do something I've rarely done...pour beer down the drain. I have three other Aslin cans of assorted pastry stouts in the cellar, but after those I'm done with Aslin stouts.

Going to visit my brother this weekend, maybe I'll gift him a couple.

Been eons since I’ve had one of their stouts.

Did they ever open up the space in Herndon?  Been to the other one and wouldn’t go out of my way to return.
