The beer selection at TGIF, is god awful.

In those situations, wine is the answer.

In those situations,  you die of hunger and never step foot into a TGIF.

Well, yeah, this. i was assuming it was a restaurant with quality food and shitty beer choices.

Never, again.  I have 1 appetizer . . . and my stomach killed me the rest of the day.  Lagunitas IPA was the best they had.

Looks like I may finally get to go to the Other Half DC spot but a quick look at the menu shows the following on draft...

One Hard Seltzer - wtf?
One Pils
One Sour
Seventeen IPAs!!!

Kinda bummed to be honest.

OH is definitely a one-trick pony. If you want variety, go to Wheatland Spring, Elder Pine, or road trip it down to Triple Crossing.

Would love to get to Wheatland, but just too damn far...

Elder Pine is on the list, but we typically hit Waredaca or Lone Oak in that area.

Can't see me ever getting to Triple Crossing. I take it back, I was there like four years ago.

Why anyone hits up Lone Oak is beyond me. Yet, plenty of people do.

Other Half DC did not disappoint... quite possibly the nicest brewery I've ever been to, at least for an urban/city setting. Wow.

Had six tasters of misc. IPAs and the seltzer as well as one full pour of the lager. Would and will return but it's also not too easy to get to based on my location.

I'm also happy to report that they're keeping a safe space for all genders.

I'll be updating my California road trip from a beer perspective here starting tomorrow.

Plenty of wine, beaches, dining, hiking, shopping (?), fireworks, driving, biking, kayaking, surfing (wife and daughter, not me), spliffing (wife only), and maybe even some time to chill time as well. But I'll just be reporting about the beer, here.

After picking up the rental car (fingers crossed they have what we reserved I'm so nervous about the rental car situation), first stop tomorrow is grabbing some bahn mi sandwiches to go and bringing them to Monkish for the West Coast answer to the Answer..

It is a nice space. The new Domino Park location is nice too. Beats the DC location by a mile, but the actual DC space might be nicer. The Grimm taproom is quite pleasant too.
