seems aslin has jumped the (baby) shark with this one

although getting a tall boy everytime you get a hair cut isn't that bad
how do you keep the hair out?

based on years of evidence, you will not have an issue with getting hair in your beer.

We went to Monkish yesterday. Top notch but nothing on draft or in cans that blew me away. The Monkish beers I had at OHDC were better than the Monkish beers I had at Monkish Torrance. Might be back at end of trip if draft menu improves. Today we're riding bikes to Firestone Walker Venice for lunch. Forecast is 71 and sunny. Happy Independence Day!

Shame about Monkish. Don’t believe I’ve visited a brewery with strong credentials that disappointed like that.

Maybe I undersold it. It was good. Other Half level,  almost. Just not mind blowing. I think Brennser said more or less the same thing.

Firestone Walker was closed for the holiday.. Trying again today. Maybe Highland Park too, depending.

cool (for data nerds, at least):

Infographic: Tracking the Top Hops
As growers look to meet demand from brewers, here‘s a look at how the most-grown hops in the Pacific Northwest have changed in recent years.

After our walk up the hill to Griffith Observatory yesterday, we hit Highland Park Brewery for a light lunch yesterday. Enjoyed a nice array of funk and a small pils with a salad. Good atmosphere, or vibe as the kids say.

Later hit Firestone Walker Venice. Can't complain about a Parabola with my first ev r Impossible Burger. Tasty!

We're off to the beer wasteland of Yosemite after a stop at the Getty this morning.

Pivo Pils for the win!

I have dozens of their old bottles of abacus, saucuba,  parabola, etc. etc. that I'd let go for a nice price!!!
