God beer snobbery… so ridiculous
I loved this brewery but now that others discovered it and it’s become popular “I don’t know anybody who drinks ____!”
Just replace brewery with band and drinks with listens

i fear that Firestone Walker is too old for you hipsters here, but in case someone's snobbery - and budget - allows for it, you can now sign up for the 2022 season of the Brewmaster’s Collective, FW’s exclusive beer club.  open to residents of VA and DC (sorry MD...), shipping available.

I had a 12 oz bottle of Sucaba the other night. Probably wouldn't seek it out like I used to, but would grab a bottle once a year if i was one on the shelf. Maybe more due to growing tired of the style more so than the brewery.

True confession: we went to two Firestone locations while on vacation last summer.

LOL.

2022 Brewmaster's Collective Membership
$575.00

Think of all of the really good beer you could buy for that price.

But yeah... another brewery that hasn't been too exciting in 5+ years or more.

I know I'm not hip, I admit that.  But I often pick up union jack IPA when I see it and Nitro Merlin on a regular basis

Thanksgiving road trip beer report:

I had:

decent barrel aged barleywines from Revoltion at the Revolution brewpub in Chicago
fantastic barrels aged stouts from Half Acre and a fantastic saison from Keeping Together and some great fries at the Half Acre taproom in Chicago
BA stouT and milkshake IPA that were both pretty meh but food that was good at the Blockhead brewpub in Valpo, IN*
IPA's and food that were both fantastic at Hoof Hearted Kitchen in Columbus

*There was a bar/restaurant on South Bend that had Goose Island Bourbon County Fourteen Stout, the regular BCBS, and the Coke variant all on draft that i would have loved to have gone to, but my father in law, who was taking me to lunch, wasn't interested in driving that far.

I brought home  four packs from Half Acre, Hop Butcher, Hoof Hearted, Revolution, and Dovetail as well as a four pack of a fantastic new 15.1% BA stout from Three Floyds called Crushing Mass. Also snagged a bottle of saison from Keeping Together.

One thing i noted is there seem to be a lot less breweries making hazies, pastry stouts, and dessert sours in the Midwest than on the East Coast.
