It's the same with ticketmaster and tickets.com.  It's not just a ticketfly problem.

You've always been able to buy tickets at the 9:30 box office with a mere $1 fee, so hopefully this will not change.

Still sucks that this change does not appear to be for the better...

$25 tickets have been $35 on tickets.com for years now. That's between 30 & 40% I think.

43% though?   I would dare say this is a record.

I dunno about all that.
Try to pull up tickets from LiveNation lately? They have everybody else beat.

Livenation is utterly ridiculous. They're hands down the worst.

See this is the beauty of hookers. A $200 suck-and-tuck is $200 unless you tip and you only tip if you choose

Hopefully, it won't. But as district said in the other thread, it is hard for some of us to get down there. When a show is about to sell out, or predicts to be one when tickets go on sale, online is the easiest and sometimes only way to get a ticket.
I can't afford a lot of shows right now due to the fees. I've stopped purchasing parking online. Paying fees for that or will call is silly.

So it's par for the course as far as service charges go and the change must have been for a completely unrelated reason.

I was just searching to see if there's been any mention of ticketfly before now, and there hasn't.  Wonder what messed up the deal with tickets.com?

Excessive surcharges?

Let's hope this is a good move for all. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Seth is a smart business man and while he works for 'profits', he also knows that he depends on a whole lot of others, along with one totally fucked up economically depressed country. Now let's hope this plays out in everyone's favor.
Well, I guess it's time for me to eat my words.

For shame on all of this gauging! No one really minds some sort of surcharge but there is no way in the world I will ever believe that these excesses are justified! The 'will call' expecially kills me. I'm sure some computer does its instantaneous tagging and ordering of the accounts while the venues are the ones who end up doing all of the real work.

I, for one, have definitely opted out of many, many shows because of the bottom line removed from my wallet when I have to consider the total cost.
