Has anyone who ordered 6th and I tix received them yet? I ordered maybe three weeks ago and haven't seen them yet, but I'm also afraid I threw them out.

New album leaked by the way. Its pretty good but is an awful lot to take in. I see it growing on me though.

I bought them right when they went on sale, and I just got them in the mail a few days ago...

Anyone downloaded the leak? Obviously as a triple album, there's some filler, no doubt, but definitely some gorgeous songs.

Ha, 9.2 on Pitchfork!

Downloaded it this morning, took about three songs in to hear a melody...  :-\

I usually need something catchy or crunchy in my most favored music, and the new one doesn't have a lot of either, but it is pretty fascinating. I figure its exactly one month until the 6th and I shows so that's about how long it will take to hear all of it.

Oh, and my tix arrived yesterday. Result!

I downloaded the leak friday but have yet to get around to it. Started it soon after downloading it and got side-tracked. After hearing four songs, I was missing the 50's Disney cartoon voice. She sounds...too normal?

This meme is starting to get old. We get it, Joanna Newsom is pretty, therefore everyone who listens to her must be doing it purely for that reason.

I'm pushing through the album now (I'm guess I'm on disc one now), and it's pretty and all, but I just don't find it nearly as interesting as her first album.  Granted, it's just the first listen, but I could listen to Milk-Eyed Mender daily...this and Ys just don't have as much staying power, I don't think.

Still looking forward to the show, though.  Gotta imagine we're not getting much from her first disc, but I'm thinking with the orchestration and venue, should still be pretty good.

I've been surprised how much I like the new one, and I never got much into Ys or Milk, though I didn't try that hard either. But I play disc one of the One on Me quite a bit and dig it.
