ardamus, do yourself a favor: ignore atomicfront.  he is a waste of... well, everything, as far as i can tell.  getting upset at him for saying ignorant things is pointless.  you will not change him and you will not feel better.

As for the club I don't know the whole story but

Yeah, you can stop right there. I don't think they have Imagine Dragons on their jukebox anyway.

If you don't have Imagine Dragons on the jukebox then why bother?

Did you even read the article?

Yeah I read the article.  It said witnesses saw the guys kicking and beating the dude before he died and the guys saying "please stop".  I don't believe anything that comes out of the DC coroners office. I have read articles on how badly run they are before.  There is no way I would ever go to DC 9 after reading this.

Homie don't use this forum to shit on a place that people still consider to be a staple of the community here. If you're that damn scared to go to DC9 after that, you probably should just never go out and stay in your house. Seriously, I don't if you grew up in DC or ever been around when U St is what it is now, but in comparison, its not as bad as what it used to be.

There's a lot to that case that never hit those articles that was kept under wraps. Like the guy who died (which is still sad) was known for getting kicked out of establishments before in that community. Even some of the people that are part of the Ethiopian community knew that. And yes, I know some of the folks involved with it, too, and I know their lives were ruined by (1) the fact they were trying to do their job (2) Lanier tossing out accusations so quick that they caught serious heat for it and (3) the inconclusive results that went on about the victim's cause of death for weeks.

i always liked you . . . i dont know why.  i just did.

Mutual respect, man. I know I came on this board when Julie (who I still wanna slap) was around and I didn't get much love. But I respect this place. Keep up the good work.

Really for someone who ignores me you sure talk about me enough. If you wanted to ignore me while communicating with ardamus send him an instant message.

As for the club I don't know the whole story but I can choose to not frequent a place that had people die in altercations with the bouncers. It hardly has anything to do with fearing for my life.  I have been at places with bouncers who like to start fights.

Also why would you care what I state on a forum that no one reads when it was in the Washington Post multiple times?

The bouncers didn't start a fight. Learn to comprehend what the fuck happened before you comment on it anymore. He was drunk. Got too intoxicated. They told him he had to leave. Standard events that happen at any bar in DC where someone has had too much to drink. Dude got mad and came back with a brick and threw it right through the window. Now tell me, who started what actually? It sad that he was intoxicated and high and his life was lost to this. But painting a picture of the employees at DC9 as not doing their job is completely stupid on your part. You don't have to go over there. But don't slander the establishment that you get wrong information from in the first place.

Yeah, you don't know the whole story and yet your dumb ass wants to chime in on it, eh?

People like you make me wish U St. was back to what it was years ago. A place where a lot of quiet mouse kids would never step foot on that street until it was gentrified.

Why do bouncers throw someone out when they are too drunk?  I never understood that?  It seems very irresposible.  You got the guy drunk now you kick him out so he drives his car into a bunch of people?  Why not just cut him off?

Why would you want U street to go back to it the way it was?  And why can't I comment on stuff I read in the paper?  People comment about that stupid Trayon Martin case without even reading one thing about what actually happened.  Shit the NAACP and the President comment about it.  I think I am allowed to comment about a case where someone died at the hands of a bouncer.  I guess since you are friends with the person involved I am not allowed to say anything about the case?

I have been to bars where the bouncers are belligerent and I have been to bars where the bouncers are cool and not trying to get into altercations.  Don't act like I am some kid from the suburbs.

Technically, I believe he was being beligerent, he was asked to calm down and he could stay, he didn't calm down, he got kicked out.

You know, like if you get drunk at 930 Club and cause a scene, you'll be dealt with. The reason you're allowed to drink in a club is because you know how to conduct yourself. If you become beligerent, you will be dealt with and kicked out. It's the same at every motherfucking bar in DC.

Never refer to Trayvon Martin's case as being stupid. Nuff said. And that right there, is why I said what I said about U St. going back to the way it was. Can't understand that, might wanna re-think how you just referred to that case, patna.

You admitted to not even knowing the story with certain details, that completely makes your view null and void. But you still kept throwing shit out there about the case that made you look completely ignorant. Me, even though I knew the folks involved, I compared facts and opinions of what was in the paper with others that were not documented with folks that were effected. And none of it made sense from the beginning of it happening. Make your comment all you want but know it gets shut down everytime you make another one of these uninformed comments.

Kid from the suburbs....or wherever.....seems like you have a certain rep on here already.

Why is the Trevor Martin case not stupid?  Zimmerman should have never been charged it was ridicilous.  Nothing like this case at all.  No evidence of this guy assaulting the bouncers.  You seem very beligerent in this thread.  I read the articles.  Seems to me from the witnesses the bouncer kicked and hit him.  There is no claim that the guy hit the bouncers.  I haven't seen the witnesses and they had a trial and I was in the jury I would keep an open mind.  I am just basing my opinion on what I read in the paper.  Perhaps you should be mad at the post for stating that witnesses said the bouncer kicked the guy.  If you don't believe the witnesses stated this.  It seems pretty far-fetched to think their were people just hanging outside the club at all times to report lies to the police.

And my reputation has nothing to do with your argument with me.  I just stated my opinion on what I read.  Just like everyone else.

I have to keep deleting your replies because they contain obscenties.  Perhaps you are one of the bouncers.

You know what's funny? You trolling for Zimmerman. How about this: I'll buy some skittles and an Arizona from that 7-11 on U St. Walk around with my black ass in a hoodie being innocent (big surprise there) and see what kind of shit you wanna pull with me. LOL.

See look at you, flustered and can't even troll right. No wonder no one likes you on here. Julie was better at this than you are. But back to the topic.

As for the witnesses, after that weren't trusted sources anyway. Both of the witnesses didn't even see the employees from DC9 punch or kick the guy. They saw that he was chased and subdued; it doesn't make sense that employees at DC9 called the authorities while having their employees gang up on one person vigilante style. Police showed up and the guy didn't have any marks on him that showed he was beaten at all. He was in police custody for up to an hour. If it was anything life threatening that was taking place then, a damn ambulance would've been there on the scene instead of the police.

And now you're argument sounds even worse now that the examiners are admitting to being pressed about ruling the death as a homicide. Lanier screwed up and called the shots before even waiting for the medical examiners report came out. Do you know how bad politics played into this to please one community and to hurt another? It was terrible.

Not everyone is bald like you.  I have a full head of naturally blonde hair.  Lumineers is good taste in music.  Everyone loves them.  Only losers hate them.  I like how you can talk all about the Zimmerman case when it is obvious you don't know anything about it but it is wrong for me to talk about the DC9 case after reading information about it.  What a freaking loser.  I am guessing you are as much a loser as your bouncer friends.

Zimmerman had a trial and he was found not guilty.  And it was a pretty quick decision.  Your buddies didn't have a trial due to incompetent DC medical examiners.  It was ruled a homicide but they chose not to prosecute.

I am sure your friends will end up in trouble with the law again.  That type always does.

I tried to be nice but you just can't have an argument without calling names or otherwise doing ad hominem attackes.  Sad person you are.

You got blonde, flowing extensions I bet, huh? Hooked it up with some goldilocks weave and shit, huh? Hair club for men stepped up their metrosexual game for you, huh? Rogaine got you that Paris Hilton treatment I bet, huh? Hey Rapunzel, you gonna take me up on my offer at that 7-11 on U St, son? I just wanna see your trolling matches you're actions. LOL. It'll be all in fun.

Only YOU like the Lumineers. No one else. LOL.

And its your fault for bringing up Zimmerman; I really want to leave it alone. A quick decision amongst a jury of housewives in the state of Florida. Sounds like you would've fit right in with the jury.

This is fun. So, walky, sweetcell, and everyone else......so this guy is the new punching bag? Cool......
