Well, to be fair, I have only been to southern California.  S.Cal is a lot like NJ, IMO.  It's New Jersey on steroids.

  LA is lame and San Diego is kinda gross. then its just a desert and some smog and a lot of people who speak spanish.
 
   San Jose is very nice.  i only go to SoCal for this show

I was thinking more of oil refineries and chemical plants.   Choked highways and rude locals.
 
 Nice waves though.  S.Cal, not NJ.  The waves in NJ are no better than OC.  By OC I mean Ocean City...and not Orange County.  Orange County has some bitchin' surf!

I have some friends that live in Fremont and i spent the week out there a few years back.

you know, thats funny you mention that. When i was young, i went to PEI with a friends family and it is beautiful.  We had this house on the beach and everything.  Except it was freakin 50 degrees every damn day in the middle of June!!!

Hmmm, that reminds me...SCTV once did a parody of THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO called The Streets of Prince Edward Island with John Candy in the Michael Douglas role.  Hilarious!
