I don't understand the reasoning to argue a band shouldn't be in a venue that big.  Someone thought they did so they are there.  Why do you care about a show you aren't attending will be mostly empty.

I mean I went to the Ramones/Deborah Harry/Tom Tom Club show at MPP back in the day and no one was there and I had a great time.  Also I didn't go in but it appeared from the empty parking lot at the Ozzy Osbourne/Metallica show at MPP that maybe 500 people attended.  I am sure the loser geek guys who attended thought it was a great show.

The only one who should care is the promoter.

I saw Hollie Go Lightly at the Ottobar once and there were less than 20 people at the show.  Sucks for her but I had a good time.

two of my favorite shows that meant the most to me were very under attended.. in both cases I think the promoter did a bad job getting the word out..in both cases the promoter was Kesta DC

Ratones Paranoicos at the State Theatre about 2007 or so.. must have been 100 people there... and Babasonicos at the Howard last year must have been 200 or so

both times got to hang out backstage with the bands.... fuck with Ratones I had a great chat with the guitarist, Sarco, about Chuck Berry...

Molly Ringwald
11-19/20 (Four performances)
Blues Alley

I think it'd be awesome if she did an entire show of John Hughes soundtrack covers...Simple Minds, Belouis Some, Gene Loves Jezebel, Book of Love. Something tells me that's not what it'll be.

So which act is your family most excited to see?

The Go Go's are the headliner.   The Go's Go's packed them into MPP a few years back.  They played with B-52's and Psychedelic Furs and hardly was even watching the Furs as most people hadn't arrived yet.  The Go's Go's the place was packed and people were going crazy.

ok well there you you.... James Ford fucked up the premise that the Furs were the headliner..

YOU GOT THAT JAMES FORD: YOU FUCKED IT UP!

family? are you nuts?

I'd like to see the Go Gos.. although one of the Go gos left the band so....

zero excitement about the Furs...they're dickheads... their show was pretty good at the State..

this is not a show i plan on going to

for wolftrap the only show i really want to see is Los Lobos..

oh and Huey Lewis of course

 ;D

Wow there were 30 tickets when you posted and now there are none left.  I just realized I had tickets to Orioles/Yankess game that night.  Luckily they were sold-out when I went to buy them. Anyway they are a great live band.

A very dark alley in Georgetown, be careful walking back there at night.
