Is there anyway we can petition the Odd Future Wolf Gang show happening at the Rock Hotel in May to be moved to the 9:30 Club?  Tickets sold out for that incredibly fast and I would imagine there's a high enough demand to warrant moving the show.  Does anyone else agree?

Two different club owners and I'm guessing that's not the only R&R venue they're playing.  I'm guessing you're SOL here unless you can change the 360 type deals bands and labels are signing these days...

the show didn't sell out that fast.  tickets were available for a few days, it's not like folks were shut out without having a chance to get any.  a fast sell-out is minutes or seconds.

second, i suspect that the answer is "no" to moving the show.  contracts have been signed & the venue has sold all the tickets - as far as they're concerned, this deal is in the bag and the only thing left is to collect money.  so to move the show, the 930 would have to buy out the whole deal (including lost revenue from drink sales), and would probably need to include a lil' somethin' somethin' to entice the RnR to go through with this in the first place.  i seriously doubt there is enough money available through increased ticket sales at the 930 to make this worthwhile.

in the end, the RnR have a popular, sold out show on their hands.  why would they seek to give that up?  booking popular bands is a competitive business, i don't see why they'd want to give away one of their biggest shows.

That show will be a muddy sounding mess.

Your only hope is to have Sonar move their show to the main room.

It definitely didnt sell out DCFC fast.  What was it, 4 or 5 days after tickets were released?

And rnr isnt always bad, it sounded good for the Salem show, but then again they play loud distorted crap anyways.

Because it's not about the business, it's about the music....

This isn't a band at the twilight of their career. They'll be back. Hell, they've been here twice in a span of just a few months.
You can also buy my extra for $50,000 if you like.

I thought one needed a minimum of two posts to make a petition?

reference to post count: check.

include a lolcat and a predictably snarky reference to how uncool/last week the topic at hand is, and we can put this thread to bed.

Definitely took a good 5 or 6 days to sell out. It's best to follow on Twitter or Facebook or such. Their website didn't even have it posted until the day after they anounced it on Twitter.
