(1) Ratioci Nation was a real person who several people met who have also met me, so: not me.

(2) In the field of rhetoric, ratiocination does not have the negative connotations you're making. Hobbesian philosophy uses the word as a synonym for reasoning, generally through the use of rhetorical questions.
