The cover story in the WaPo Weekend section last Friday named Rhizome the best music venue in DC.

Thoughts?

Vas?
Hutch has, no doubt, declared WaPo to be “hobo media.”

And people are worried about spotify killing the music industry.

We won't even need musicians soon enough!

Me too, small and an old DC house, but cool place to catch a show and get your socialist literature
They do lots of art progams too

no idea if this is true, but:

This is simply not AI. Someone played all this and then sang it, using an AI replica of John Lennon’s voice. This is 1000% better than any AI-created music and people should know the difference

So they used AI for John's voice... Sounds like AI to me!

in the late 90's, were you tired of the word "internet"?  what was the big deal with that, anyways?  it's not like it changed things... just another buzzword

Yeah I was sick of it…

I am sure it will change the world and that’s great and all but I don’t need to hear or read about it again.

Steve Marriott’s family and many others are currently trying to prevent a record company from using AI to recreate his voice to complete some unfinished demos.  Getting lots of support from lots of musicians on that one.

Of course it’s a third wife/step mother verses his children, since there was no will
