Sturgill sounding positive...

https://uproxx.com/indie/sturgill-simpson-interview-sound-and-fury-tour/

Uproxx is owned by Warner Music group, who also owns Sturgill's label, Elektra, so take that article and it's contents as an advertisement.  At best.

I'm not saying he's the most positive person ever, but that was over the top fakery.

This trip down memory lane with the Trillbilly Workers Party podcast seemed much more genuine.

We got up with Sturgill Simpson to talk Jam Bands, Work, Bernie Sanders, Gatlinburg, The Music Business, Leaf Hound Melting Motherfuckers' Faces Off, Canonball Run, Caleb Landry Jones, Jim Jarmusch, The Monkees, Kanye West playing Pigeon Forge and Running for President, his upcoming tour, and much much more.

Just loving the new GBV (Surrender your poppy field)

I go through phases with these guys but this is probably my biggest since the 1994-1995 heyday

I mean Queen Parking Lot is as good as anything they have done

I've decided that Tune-Yards is a poor man's Dirty Projectors, and Dirty Projectors gets me about 90% to Adult Jazz, if anyone was wondering.

in AC/DC news that might have gotten missed....
in February 2020, Dee Snider revealed that he and  Brian Johnson has confirmed that he is once again working with the band, and that they are recording a new album. Recordings from the early 2000s, of Malcolm Young will be used for the album. Additionally, Phil Rudd and Cliff Williams will be a part of the album as drummer and bassist, respectively

We will get an album when and if Angus wants it

It’s been about two years maybe more since they all met in Vancouver so...

Sorry if this was posted elsewhere already. Story by Dave. I couldn't name you a single Foo Fighters song, but I still love this guy and so awesome to live in his hometown. I wonder if he had an above ground pool.

Because I work in an office full of nerds, one 70-ish co-worker has beer sending around little surveys for us to answer and discuss during weekly video chats.

Today, part of the poll has two separate questions.

1. Who is your favorite musician?
2. Who is your favorite singer?

I asked him to differentiate between a musician and a singer, and here is the reply:

Musicians are noted for playing instruments, not singing.   They might occasionally help with backup singing, but rarely, if ever, a solo.

I am confused, because most of my favorite musicians are singers. And most of my favorite singers play instruments.

All my favorite singers couldn’t sing.
