Considering the competition, it only reinforces their corporate rock clout. They're like the Go West of indie.

How sad!

That’s a better set list than when we saw them at the club….

Still it was epic that first time when they came out (after Dandy Warhols who were great but pretty unknown) and rocked out on Ying Yang the Flower Pot Man

Really looking forward to this show on the 11th….got a run of great shows coming up…I hope it don’t kill me though

I feel like space doesn’t listen much to 80s British bands…just can’t see him at Depeche Mode, new order, Siouxsie, pet shop boys, OMD, love and Rockets 🚀, even the cure

It’s not his bag I wanna say

Depeche Mode-don't like (but my wife does)
New Order-one of my favorites (was out of town for their show last year)
Siouxie-don't like
Pet Shop Boys-love maybe a half dozen of their hits, but there's a big drop off after that
OMD-good, but wouldn't see them
Smiths-one of my favorites...would consider seeing Marr but haven't, Morrissey too unpredictable, his politics don't bother me
Love and Rockets-don't like
Cure-would see them but not at current prices and venue size
Big Audio Dynamite-loved them but seems like Mick Jones is done
Duran Duran-would love to Stubhub them
Loved a lot of 80s British ska...

Ok guess I stand corrected

Most people would probably only have heard two L&R songs if that maybe

So Alive
Ball of Confusion

I think they had a song on a John Hughes movie soundtrack but I forget which one. Something from Seventh Dream

I think I would put Express (cd version with Holiday on the moon) in my top 100 favorite records ever. It’s weird not that they didn’t sell more records but that they are not more critically acclaimed (in fact they are put down a lot). There are many big time musicians that are into them but the critics have their knives out for Love and Rockets. People like Maynard from Tool, Billy Corgan, Wayne Coyne (flaming lips), Frank Black etc. love them.

Same
I only owned the cd and was all excited for the vinyl reissue and that they didn’t include HOTM in the reissue was criminal
One of my favorites
Been wanting to buy the 12inch for a while

That’s why the set list is great.  I think the two times I saw them, they only played a few express era songs.  So for me a dream set list
