Well, damn...

Next time, buy a ticket for the parking lot. It's secure enough.

True. I will start doing that... What's a few bucks when you know that your car is secure. I've had such a good track record since '96 so it was bound to happen.

Thieves are stupid though; they made out with my gym bag (belt and a pair of pants) and my back pack with a few CD's that most people would not listen to. They basically just left a nasty mess to clean up. Hey, at least the show was good!   ;)

I have an 88 GMC Sierra Pickup. It's not worth breaking into, heck i keep my doors unlocked just so they wont smash the windows.

If you ever visit Liverpool UK I'm sure you'll be able to buy back the stuff they nicked out of your car.

And what show was it (ie, night of the week).

I've had really good luck, as I only drive to shows during the week, and they're usually the more sparsely attended shows.  But that gives me the heebie jeebies.

and welcome to the club! Mine was broken into on a NYE many years ago...No, seriously, sorry to hear about your car. Use the parking lot for the club, it's worth it if you arrive to a show late.

You really shouldn't leave anything visible in your car anywhere in the city, it's just asking for trouble. They don't care what the CDs are if there's a chance they can get a couple o' bucks for them to buy a piece of the rock, if you know what I mean. Yes I did learn that the hard way.

Another suggestion would be not to meander when getting out of your car. You know, putting things away, fiddling on a cell phone, putting you coat in the trunk, etc. (I'm only guilty of the latter.) There are lots of people out and about that could be watching where you are hiding your stuff.

What a sad city that we live in that we have to pay four digit rents or a half million for a condo, and still have to put up with shithead criminals.

Makes me long for the college town I moved here from where I left my car doors unlocked all the time.

It's not just this city, it's any city, and NYC is much worse than here. And El Tee is right, stash things before you leave the house, or even better don't bring anything extraneous.

college towns are nice because everyone there gets everything bought for them while they are at school so they dont have to steal from each other  :)
