Think that was a reference to my comment in the other thread about how I'm tired of seeing bands using kickstarter just to pre-sell their album at significantly jacked-up prices.

Some bands do kickstarter really well, offering their fans unique/exclusive/unusual items.  Other bands really miss the point-- sorry, but an autographed copy of a your album is probably not worth fifty bucks.

I'm not opposed to kickstarter in general, just disappointed in how many bands choose to use it.

definitely! it should cost the same whether autographed or not in my opinion.. i mean look at newbury comics.. they sell tons of autographed stuff at retail.. its just a nice thank you for the fans...

any bands that I know that have done it, their drive has ended. One I liked best - Val Emmich - he had the best value and perks per the dollar/grouping. For thank you section in his cd inlet it was a city map and everyone's name was a street. Some artists jump too high in their dollar amount per the perk, or too low in perk per the dollar amount, I agree.

Some cool things in the list. I like the 3 days touring with the band and being in the chorus.  And for 10k they will play your private event.

BEAUTIFUL NOISE is an in-depth exploration of a music movement in the late 20th century, a fascinating period when some innovative musicians mixed guitar noise into conventional pop song structures while maintaining a philosophy of letting the music speak for itself.

Although many of the people interviewed are notoriously press shy they have opened up about their music and experiences from over 20 years ago; how they defied the rules and became sonic innovators that have inspired so many.

Currently the documentary is in the final stages for worldwide release, and we need your help to raise the $75,000 to pay for limited run licensing and finishing costs to distribute in Film Festivals and on DVD/Blu-Ray.
