I'd be fine with retrocession to Maryland at this point.

Baltimore politicians will fall on their swords to prevent that from ever occurring.

Why would us Marylanders want DC?  I think a better fit would be Virginia.

because you gave it to us in the first place - virginia has already taken back their portion of DC (arlington / alexandria)

well when your return something it should be in the same shape as when you got it.  How about we just take back northwest dc?  and virginia can have the rest.  That would give them the baseball stadium and that's ok as we already have one.

Why not give Dubuque Iowa statehood? It's the same thing really.

No, it's not. Dubuque is not a federal district.

Idiot.

This is getting way too easy.....MORON!

The MD/VA retrocession debate does say one thing loud and clear....NOBODY WANTS THAT SHITHOLE OF A PLACE.

I just think they did things in the wrong order...they should have killed the filibuster first
at least make it so you actually have to stand on the floor
They literally can phone a filibuster in

well that's the rub...but all this statehood stuff is silly to even get excited about
Trust me, I've been an advocate for almost 3 decades now...in the last few years I've a better understanding on how things work and realize ITSNOTHAPPENING

it's not like they can get sympathy from the MAGA's ....they don't want DC and all those unwashed minorities to have any votes

what they need to do is find a billion dollars in programs for AZ and WV..and tell Manchin and Synema to get the fuck in line and change the filibuster rules in the senate
