i really wanted lower seats, but the presale had nothing good on offer.  took me a few minutes to get through the virtual waiting room so maybe they all disappeared then?  nosebleeds started at $100.  platinums were $220-510 (all prices exclusive of fees, obvs).  settled for a pair of floors at face, which was still way more than i thought i'd be spending.

I think I already documented that in another post. Wasn't planning on going back to Europe anytime soon, but found round trip tickets to Lisbon in the Summer (IAD>MAD>LIS) for $450 each and couldn't resist. Plus, with the Euro sucking and Portugal being already cheap, yada, yada, not that yada....probably no more expensive than a vacation to the West Coast. The ironic part of the story is that nonstop roundtrip to Madrid is over 1K per ticket, but doing the connection to Lisbon brings the price down to less than half that.
