Just realized Space has the word Free in his name. Is that on purpose or coincidence. Sorry if I'm late to the game.

Ace Frehley—->Frehley’s Comet—->
Space Freely

The Cult just aren’t a good live band.

I still regret missing Hope Sandoval at sixth and I to go see the cult at 930. They put on a short perfunctory performance. Lesson learnt.
hmm, I saw them on the Electric album tour at the FSS and thought they put on a stellar performance
hard to dial it Phone it in (not sure what my deal is with that phrase) in when that album is the main focus, I think you saw the 'love' album tour...I do adore that album, but boring live
to me it's all about billy duffy honestly, and I'm totally biased from my 16 year old hatch fanboyism
now I wasn't that excited to see them at the warner, seated far away, for expensive prices and kinda got my fill on that tour 5 years ago, but I can see missing Hope would be a regret.  Did she tour with JAMC ever, or is she only on that one song?

Fun Fact,  Rick Rubin's work on Electric predates the Licensed to Ill release (LtI was released first tho)  Ian randomly heard cookie puss (which rick actually didn't produce) and just tracked down rick's phone number and called him up.  They were only supposed to remix 1-2 songs and that is what the execs agreed on.  then the band and him decided to just re do the entire album with out the record company knowing or approving

Yes

But thought I saw them one additional time….now I can’t remember…

Mazzy Star toured with JAMC early on

It’s weird how many of these old acts seem to me to overprice tickets…I guess they think demand is price inelastic. Is it? There must be research on this.

it is, these boomers and our gen, who were music fans in the 80s and rarely see shows, are easily lured to seeing these acts
I have done it more than I care to admit
but I will say, some of these acts that I saw in the 80s, sound way better in the last decade and play the songs people actually want to hear so there is that
Pavement comes to mind, and in my humble opinion New Order.  that show at the anthem sounded 10 times better than the Jones beach show I saw in the 80s
