what is/are your fav Ethiopian restaurant/s?

Meaza in Baileys Crossroads.

Really...I'm really close to there and for some reason it's never looked that appealing.  But I've never been in there so didn't know.  Will have to try it out

Strip mall restaurants never look very appealing, but Meaza is very good.  That bread they use for eating everything is way better than anyone else's.

good to know

the Italian Store in Lyon Villiage Arlington.
The point of this is that they are opening a new location in the Westover area of Arlington

I really couldn't be happier about this news.  I'm from NY and the only place in NOVA to get a good Italian hero is at the Italian store.
The even sell my favorite Dry Salame  P.G. Molinari & Sons from San Francisco, not Italy

Chinatown Express or Oriental East in Silver Spring are probably my favorites.

even better is that the italian store is replacing a 7-11...that 7-11 was totally useless because the Rite Aid next to it sold most of that stuff (beer, cigs)

I think there should potentially be a whole thread dedicated to Italian Subs/cold cuts/etc.

Arrowine is surprisingly awesome for your charcuterie needs.  Jambon Iberico; Tamworth prosciutto; ~dozen salamis; locally made serrano; Calabrese sopprasetta...  I love cured meat products.

Love Arrowine...and if only they made subs.  The meat/cheese/beer selection is second to none.
I talked to one of they guys there and they have considered it, but there is a lot of overhead/regulations as
well as not having a lot of space to do it.

That place is dangerous, can easily spend $75 and walk out with a little shopping bag.

Iowa man arrested after fight over PB&J sandwiches

DES MOINES - A man was arrested Friday after an angry confrontation with his brother over his eating habits, according to a police report.

The two brothers, in their 50s, live together in Des Moines.

The alleged victim told police that his brother, Jerome Davis, "made three peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and ate them in the living room. Within the next hour, the suspect made another 3 of these peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, bringing his total consumption of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to six. This angered the victim..."

china bistro in rockville does great dumplings, and you can buy them un-cooked to go, as well.
