I take full responsibility  for tonight. I left the game when it was tied in the 9th because I had good seats to see the Pirates v Giants.

I let the team down.

"If these teams were to meet in a playoff series? Well, baseball could do a whole lot worse."

That's the LA Times take on the last 4 ANA-BAL games.  Hard to disagree.

I think the O's took the playoff series.

gausman was doing so good...and then my friend turns to me and says "he is going to pitch a no hitter" - he then proceeded to load the bases with walks....if only he could have gotten that last out.

machado had some incredible throws.

Y'know, a wise man once said.....

One out of three might get it done in the AL East,  but not in the AL West.  You need to win 2 out of 3 just to keep up...

He must be hoping for one out of three at this point.  ;D

The A's and the O's are clearly the class of the AL right now.

Really rough day for the rest of the American League not named Oakland or Detroit.

It's so demoralizing when your team is no worse off than when you woke up this morning, yet you feel so much worse because the needle moved so far....

The only bright side I've found is that the Halo's won't have to face Price in a one game playoff...

I heard the O's traded three pencils and a ball autographed by Sidney Ponson for a box of scorecards.

is this a reverse-jinx of some sort?  LAA was the best team in the AL-west yesterday. still are today.  realistically, OAK just traded for 3 or 4 wins more for lester.  they lost a win or two losing cespedes. let's call it a net-gain of two wins.

meanwhile, albert pujols returning to old form at the plate and mike trout, continuing to be the best player in baseball.  LAA is gonna win that division.

i'm betting OAK is playing a 1-game playoff vs. baltimore or NYY.
