Oof.  Dodgers' Corey Seager will have Tommy John surgery and miss rest of season.

Huge blow.

Hmm.  The O's have a SS that they can deal.  For a price.

And the Dodgers have the prospects to get him.

Of course that price was much higher last July than it is today....

Ichiro is retiring and moving to the MAriners Front Office for the rest of 2018.

You're telling me the M's couldn't keep him on the roster for one more weekend to face Ohtani?!  Unless the Angels told them that Ohtani wasn't pitching this weekend, that's complete bullshit.

My favorite Ichiro story...

We were at Safeco Field for a game and they were listing different player's favorite foods on the scoreboard when the player came to bat.

Ichiro's favorite food? Rice.

Reconsidering?

Yep.

Assume 1-2 plate appearances is a pinch hit appearance, 3+ is as a DH.

I'd be shocked if he lasts the entire year as both a starting pitcher and hitter..... my prediction is that they eventually choose one or the other depending on how he's doing..... I could easily be wrong, but in any case, it's gonna be pretty interesting to watch.....

You're more optimistic then I am. He blows his elbow out by Aug 1.  Doesn't pitch or bat after that until the 2020 season, and they make the ALCS, maybe even the World Series and lose the series and Trout in free agency to Yankees or Phillies instead of trading him after this season, costing  the team 3-4 prospects.

But I'm a lifelong Halo's fan and have seen it all, so know what to expect.

Ohtani out at least 3 weeks with grade 2 sprain of UCL.

As a lifelong Agnels fan, we've just come to expect these things.

1. Miguel Cabrera (minus-15.0 wins) - Future paydays: $30 million annually in 2018-2021, $32 million in 2022 and 2023, $8 million buyout on a $30 million club option for 2024 plus a $30 million club option for 2025.
sigh

Now he's out for the season (bicep surgery).  Maybe he retires?

Mike Trout doesn't deserve this shit.

No argument from me.
