He'd hump poles and tree trunks too.

az, have you ever taken LSD or any other hallucinogens? If so, I'd love to hear a blind person's description of the experience.

I drank a few beers the last night.  Caffeine was my main substance the rest of the time.

I thought you didn't drink?

Why are you running out of time? Dying soon? I would have to be paid to attend most festivals.

Exactly. I believe attending large scale festivals affordably gets more difficult as you age. I still do Free Fest and I did Pitchfork fest in 2005, so I can handle the one day fests and I really want to do a multi-day camping fest, but I do also realize sooner is better than later.

I love festivals

I would not call myself a drinker but I do enjoy the occasional beer or whiskey.

The lineups from

Big Ears in Knoxville
http://www.bigearsfestival.com/

Moogfest in Asheville
http://www.moogfest.com/

Psychfest in Austin
http://www.austinpsychfest.com/

are all fairly decent, especially Big Ears for me. I couldn't care less about Firefly. It probably means no festival this year for me, since I usually don't fly to a festival unless there is a once in a lifetime event, such as those "Don't Look Back" full albums at ATP New York and Pitchfork. Or at least a bunch of bands I know and a group of friends going.

I miss ATP New York and Pop Montreal (which is a bit like Hopscotch and SXSW). In Europe it was not much better lately; all the good festivals were in England or Spain (and I was in Southern Germany where the lineups were pretty much like Firefly).

It seems like I might be attending Firefly this year for a day or two.  Strange times we are living in...

You could not pay me enough money to go to an east coast festival.

Too many assholes.  And I'm too old.
