David Bowie Is...
« on: November 17, 2014, 10:42:58 am »
Went to the David Bowie exhibit in Chicago this weekend. If anyone is even remotely a fan of his, I highly recommend going if you find yourself in Chicago. I was really impressed with the depth of it all. So many interesting items! I guess that's what happens when it's the artist's collection.

.... the man.

I been listening to Seu Jorge's Bowie recordings...magical... i think if you understand portuguese its particularly interesting cause he had to rewerite the lyrics to make them fit the melodies..such  a well done project...

we made the one with NIN in time right up front as I remember
The one at the Ballroom...for both DB and TSR...I don't think we were terribly late...maybe a song or two
How about that Cure show, what time did we get there for that?

I'm really confused about that Cure show.... Rodolfo said I gave him my ticket but I distinctly remember forgetting about the Cure show and missing it...  Maybe I was doing drugs at the time and forgot I gave it to him and then thought I missed it... I guess I could look for the ticket....but I dunno

Do you know what really happened?

For David Bowie at the Ballroom we only caught the encore! It was pitiful.. .I still cry....

NIN/Bowie we were there in time but the Capitol Ballrom show was the one....

i originally saw this in toronto and now that i'm living in chi, i'm going to see it again (at least once or twice more to really get it all in). be prepared for a completely immersive experience. you will ignore everyone else with you and probably around you. seriously, it is just everything.

full disclosure: i cried at the beauty of it a couple times.

nothx
