Fremont, my birthtown, ranked as "Most Serene City" in US
Okay, Fremont is mostly a standard bedroom suburb (just big) with Silicon Valley industry in its southern region (including the notorious T***a plant, formerly GM). But the parks are fantastic, especially Sunol, and the view of the hills from just about anywhere is gorgeous, especially when Mission Peak gets snowcapped.
if it's so great, why does its brewery refuse to be located there? HUH?!? somehow even lowly seattle is better than its namesake... 'nuff said.
Once upon a time, Fremont was a celebrated wine district
i note that not a single winery remains there, either - they've also left (TBD how many ended up in washington state).
you're doing a somewhat poor job of hyping your hometown. hell, even you left...
The first Mac(intosh) personal computers for retail were made on an assembly line in the Warm Springs district. A professor I know had bought one of them early on (I think he was attending Stanford at the time) but sold it many years later not realizing how valuable it was.
Probably because he's Canadian.
