Trying to plan a trip to SXSW with my buds but they are refusing all the places I've found to stay. I found a hotel that is 6 miles from ONE of the venues downtown and they said that's too far. I said we could rent/borrow bikes and they said no dice. Wtf?
Has anyone ever been before? My buddy goes "I've heard from people who have gone before that if you aren't downtown then it's not even worth going" which just has to be total crap. Aren't tons of streets shutdown and you have to walk a bunch of places anyway? I think they're just being lazy.
