Oh and by the way, i would have to think that you will definitely smell it on the trail, but whether the smoke will cause issues for hiking . . . again, tough call.  Live,  a little, my friend.

I don't mind the smoke myself, but my daughter had some health issues that we think were exacerbated by some backyard bonfires we did a couple years ago. Gotta watch our for the little ones.
