I was similarly confused but my guess is he sees your kids destroying your records/stand as a blow to physical media which he famously eschews.

It will probably give you hives to learn I just replaced two of my Blu-Ray players with 4K UHD Blu-Ray players.

Look, you still find value in TiVo, so nothing about your media viewing consumption surprises me.  It's probably TiVo's limitation in 4K that caused you to buy a UHD player in the first place.

Converting all of your VHS -> DVD -> Blu-Ray -> UHD movies is exactly what the industry wants and needs to hold off innovation.  Did the UHD player come with a red hat that said #maga on it?

They do play regular Blu Ray disks. Have not went out and gotten a UHD Blu Ray yet to test out the quality. I mostly bought them because I'm Julian and they were there.

I'm aware that the Bolt plays 4K content, but it's implementation must be limited if you need to purchase a second device AND tangible media to make up for whatever you can't get from the Bolt.  That's all I was saying.
