minor brush with fame: apparently my kids go to school with the daughter of Brandi Carlile, and we went to her place yesterday for a kiddo b-day party.  lovely, lovely person & family living on a stunning piece of land... just gorgeous.  got a peak at her piano/band room, and her dedicated "writing cottage"... the wannabe musician in me was insanely jealous at her setup.  most of her band & touring team were also at the party, as they are also family & in-laws.  contemplated sneaking a selfie with her 11 grammys but decided against it.  played a massive game of capture of flag and am still recovering from it.

that was 6 months ago.  dunno if y'all seen the footage from the G7 get-together, but meloni and macron were all buddy-buddy, whispering nasty things about trump like the cool kids at the back of the class passing judgements on a fat loser, etc.

Because the average age of the band is 60 and their fanbase is just as old with higher than average BMI.

So how do they fit in the seats?

True story: My wife and daughter had pavillion seats for Erykah Badu at Wolftrap last Saturday, and a trio of fatties attempted to fill their seats in the next row up, and one of them was so fat, they had to call an usher over and ask if they could be moved to handicap seating, and they were.

Anyway sometimes seating is the right call for a show or venue (Gary Bartz and Library of Congress). But seated shows suck at Anthem.
