ok I understand pat benatar in 87....but two shows in two weeks in 2007?!

fun fact, pat benatar grew up in Lindenhurst NY (on long island) my mom was a Math teacher in her High School and Pat was training to be an Opera singer and my mom said she'd never forget hearing her one day when she was practicing.  She was soo small but could really belt it out

Pat for some reason always distanced herself from Lindenhurst and LI

it does mention Lindenhurst on her bio on her own website but in interviews in the 80's and 90's she would never say she grew up there

I know you've all missed my entries..... I promise I'll get back to it..   Summertime has/had so many festivals so too many band names to include.  The cut/paste/edit process can be tedious.

Don't let me know if there is a greater first-world problem.

not necessarily yours, but I do have an odd fascination with this thread

I have no objection to the concept...but really does this live beyond the year

Will new bordies carry the flame?

though they'd dread the very thought of it, agaz or ksal could quite easily produce a running list of the last 214 bands they've seen on 10/2-9/2000-15

might even be 216?

Here's a clip about the Sneaker Pimps opening for Aphex Twin, Sept. 5, 1997. Forever one of those perfect, insane nights that can never, ever be replicated. The sound at that show was just ridiculous. Kind of amazing in retrospect that in 1997 it was OK for a laptop to be responsible for an entire performance. I'm still not entirely sure that it was a laptop. I think that Richard D. James was just checking e-mail and surfing the web for 90 minutes. But I've never seen anything like that, and probably won't again.
