Seeking solid speaker for outdoor use, with
*Bluetooth
*Connectivity for 3.5 plug too
*Decent charge for battery life
*Solid sound, as best as can be for an outdoor portable speaker

$200-250 range is OK.

Any tips?

Define portable.

In your pocket?  On a bike?  In the back of a truck?

Being a tailgater myself, I prefer volume over audiophile quality. It's hard to hear a quiet unit with all the peripheral noise. It's gotta crank and absorb beers and bumping.

I had a Bose speaker but it's shot. I think I may look into a cheap, portable guitar amp.

I cannot recommend this enough.

A friend of a friend had this and I was blown away. Super loud, crisp sound, and battery life like you couldn't believe. Could run a block party off this easily and the people at the end of the block would be jamming.

I bought one of these after seeing one once and have been delighted. Don't let the ridiculously low price fool you; this is an amazing value.

Zebra still tours? Better put them on the bucket list.

Was actually looking at this. By all accounts it lacks bass but sounds nice. Can't beat the price, either.

The Bose Soundlink 3 is slightly above your range, but sounds very good at higher volumes and has a long battery life.

There's a version with wheels for like $30 more if that's worth it to you.
