Paramore?

most likely a marketing move IMO

Some are concerned, while others suggest the band are likely preparing for an announcement, perhaps about splitting from their label Atlantic Records.

Oh I don’t agree with that….

Big donors were pulling contributions and it wasn’t cause she plagiarized

David Rothkopf@djrothkopf
The lynch mob that came for Claudine Gay will not be satisfied with her resignation. They will come for others. The faux rationales they may offer for their attacks may change, but their goal will remain the same: to stifle discourse and leaders who do not conform to their views.
This is an ugly moment in the history of Harvard, of the Ivy League, of academia and of the United States and rest assured, no matter what side of the debate about President Gay you may have been on, you will come to regret the forces this unleashes.

Calling for the genocide of a people should not be protected free speech on college campuses.

I don’t see this as controversial. It’s pretty cut and dried.

kinda feel like those were gotcha moments in front of Congress
but this is setting a precedent that people who want to stifle conversation can use to destroy things

I didn't like the nazi's marching in Skokie either, but free speech can be objectionable

'when speech crosses into conduct" is what she said and I agree, that's when it's a problem

Should it be protected anywhere, or is it only on campuses that we should limit speech?  What other speech should be criminalized?

Honestly the stupidity is getting crazee

Who said anything about criminalizing speech?

The question Stefanik posed was about the Harvard code of conduct. Any student advocating genocide - particularly on campus-needs to be shown the door at that university. Students have the right to say anything they want and have their admission rescinded by the university. They can then continue advocating genocide without a Harvard degree.

I mean do people have a right to walk into McDonalds and start screaming about wanting to commit genocide? I think they would be shown the door quick.

Do people have the right to yell whatever hateful thing they want at work and not get fired?
