The only Dems that are focusing on trans issues are assholes like Mayor Pete and Gavin Newsom who are agreeing with the right!  You people are delusion about this.  Really sinks how that, if the forum and all of us existed in the mid 50's, the lot of you would be complaining about civil rights

You have to win elections or it’s just pointless. You don’t have to run on issues you are unpopular but once in power you can do things. There are plenty of examples in American politics of politicians who did things once in power that people didn’t necessarily agree with or expect. It’s called leadership. But you have to be elected first.

Totally agree, but not sure how Democrats have run on this issue in the past. Have they? It seems like the Republicans were the ones who ran on it in 2024.

Just say we stand for equal rights for everyone and try to leave it there. Then once you win the election take action to ensure equal protection (although not sure what the approach would be to some aspects about trans rights like athletics). Honestly I leave that to someone else.
