No idea who he is.

The inevitable “I have to do better” apology sorta rings hollow after these things. Not saying people don’t deserve second chances, but I can’t help thinking “no shit, dude”. Maybe that’s just me.

He's the guy who was scheduled to appear on SNL in September (?), and was cancelled because he was seen partying without a mask the week before. They later gave him another chance (December?) He sucked musically.

wow Allmusic really selling him here "developing a variation of bro-country that emphasized smooth R&B rhythms over arena-ready stomps."

My wife's love of mainstream R&B may explain why she liked one of the two songs he did on SNL.

Not sure “criticism” is the right word. It took me years to find an album they didn’t like.

His SNL appearance was soft rock twaddle.

The Brand listens to him as well.  I didn't care for his SNL performance, but dont mind his songs that come on streaming radio stations...Whiskey Glasses in particular I rather enjoy.

Will have no problem skipping him now though....

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought was that it could only happen for a country music artist?

If so, I take I back. But there it is.
