I still listen to When I Was Born for the 7th Time on a regular basis
the song that always gets me is 'its good to be back on the road back home again'
I remember catching them back in the 90s at the club and loving the show, but at the time wasn't a huge fan
in the last decade, I keep going back
I really wish they'd tour

The Clinton album should have been released as a Cornershop record and the Handcream record could have come out a bit earlier...there was just a huge loss of momentum after the I was born for the album....like a virtual textbook case on how to kill a career...

I love Handcream the most of their records but feel like hardly anyone gave it a chance because of the huge amount of time from Brimful of Asha era

A couple of years ago I found a cd of the Clinton record for $1...signed by Tjinder!!

New Cornershop aside there are a bunch of new releases of interest today.. seems Feb was a bit slow in terms of new stuff I’m was interested in..

Anyways..

Listening to the new James Hunter Six Nick Of Time out on Daptone records.  He does retro soul so well!

Also of interest new Body Count and Paul Heaton\Jacqui Abbott
T.Rex

I also love Handcream.  They were great at the club on the Handcream tour, starting and closing the show with Heavy Soup.  I also saw them at the University of London Union in March 1998 with Les Rythmes Digitales opening up.  I was surprised at the time it did not sell out right away.  Although, they played two nights in a row there.  Oh to be that young again.

Limited release of 1000 units, each purchaser could purchase 2, so its really NBD, but it did crash the mergeserver, so demand was there for a lot more
