Interesting read for sure.

"masklessness"

Before 2020, Google only gives 37 hits for the word.

If there is a place called Hell, I think there’s little doubt that this man is going there.

Giuliani expressed little regret over dismissing public health guidelines, compared to that of another Trump ally, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, who was hospitalized with COVID-19 in October and said he was "wrong" for not wearing a mask.

"Things happen in life and you have to go with them," Giuliani said on Tuesday. "You can't overreact to them, otherwise you let the fear of illness drive your entire life."

"The minute I took the cocktail," Giuliani said. "I felt 100% better. It works very quickly."

He also noted that he "did not know" of the drug's high price-tag and its lack of accessibility.
"Sometimes, when you're a celebrity, they're worried if something happens to you," he said. "They're going to examine it more carefully and do everything right."

man, that is a complex and expensive procedure!

I gotta imagine this would be a good time to be selling Ultra-cold freezers!
a quick search says they cost 15-20k

The other vaccines don't need to be handled like this...I wonder why this is the leading contender.

Yeah, but there are refrigerator temperature vaccines like a week away. One week.

also, demand >>>>> supply.  the non-ultra-cold vaccine from Moderna is on the way, but we can't manufacture enough of it, fast enough.  so while the Pfizer vax is a pain in the ass (even though the shot goes in your arm - badum psh), it's effective - so we do what it takes to get it out there.

i can't wait to read/see reporting on the black market for these vaccines.  you know that somewhere, somehow, the 1% will have access at ridiculous prices.  i certainly would be willing to pay $10k (o whatever the price is) for a dose for me and my family if i had that kind of money.

...and $10K for the second dose? All the vaccines are a 2-shot deal.

You're obviously not a firefighter from NYC.

yup.  if i had millions in the bank, i'd pay $20k/person to vaccinate my family.  but i don't so the point is academic.

not quite sure what you're getting at... that firefighters in NYC are in the 1%?

They did a poll of NYC firefighters and only 45% of them said they would get the vaccine. Obviously, they are less enthusiastic about it than you are.
