These guys need to sit the fuck down and shut up.

On Tuesday, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops urged Catholics to avoid taking the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine and to choose alternatives from Pfizer or Moderna instead because Johnson & Johnson used cells derived decades ago from an abortion to create the vaccine.

I don’t know

I can only hazard a guess that they were not transparent with the data over past few months and are now adding all these deaths in?

If so I find it appalling

An alternate explanation is they changed the way of counting a death as being from covid?

Nobody seems to care?

Why do scientists have to rain on my parade?

I think this article is pretty negative

It won't end.

Herd immunity + majority of people vaccinated + yearly cycle of vaccines (if needed)

Let anyone that doesn't agree to vaccinate suffer the consequences and move on.

"Virginia reported a record 383 daily deaths Wednesday, which officials say continues to be part of a large backlog from earlier in the year. Virginia health officials said the state did not have the capacity to investigate all fatalities during a December and January surge and are relying on the review of death certificates, a slow and cumbersome process. They expect to be caught up by the end of this week."

I assume this is the ticket to live shows....
The rise of vaccine passports
Erica Pandey@Axios

Vaccine passports were touted early in the pandemic as an important piece of the plan to get people back to normal life. Now they’re becoming a reality.

Driving the news: CLEAR, the secure digital identity app that you see in airports around the world, and CommonPass, a health app that lets users securely access vaccination records and COVID test results, have joined forces.

The result is an app that'll tell planes you're cleared to fly, arenas you're cleared to watch the ball game, and Vegas casinos you're cleared to head to the slot machines — all while promising to keep your health data private.
"This is about helping people get back to what they love," CLEAR CEO Caryn Seidman-Becker tells Axios. "This isn’t about we’ll get back to you in a year. This is about reopening tomorrow."

What's happening: Any of the millions of Americans who have been vaccinated will be able to use CommonPass to access and verify that vaccination record — and display it to airlines, resorts or other businesses through the CLEAR app.

CLEAR works with a number of health data aggregators as well as directly with labs to verify customers' COVID test results. With the new CommonPass partnership, CLEAR will be able to display vaccination status as well.

So your vaccination status in the hands of a for-profit company? What could go wrong?

Do you guys who have been teleworking think our employers will demand that we go back into the office at the same levels we were once all adults have the chance to be vaccinated?

My wife says she will be looking for another job if her employer makes them go back to the office (she was teleworking one day a week prior, most co-workers weren't even allowed one day.)

Me, I'll be glad to go back once it's safe. Though I may ask to bump from one telework day to two or three.

I've been working from home in some capacity since like 2014 or 2015.... I can't imagine ever going back to an office daily and would most likely never take a job that required that, unless it was some dire circumstance.
