Where exactly are they overhyped? They're not on Metacritic, they've not been reviewed on Pitchfork, Stylus or Popmatters. A Lexus-Nexus search shows that they've only been written up in an Orlando paper and an Austin paper, where they're from, with a paragraph in Spin. Is that really overhyped? What am I missing?

Lexis-Nexis rocks harder than Google. But it's not free. Those of us with access are thankful (I don't have to pay for NYT's "Select" for starters).

And how's this for street cred, I don't pay for it. My job from four years ago didn't delete my account, so I still have it. I basically only use it to get NYTimes Select articles that aren't on the free site. And to search for all those hype mentions of The motherfucking Sword.

that was the only time I have seen him, and it was a fantastic show, unfortunately I doubt he will come to Portland if he does tour again soon [/b]
Yeah, but he plays Seattle almost every US tour.
Usually at the Paramount.  Not as cool as the 930, but nice place anyway.

Yeah, the Beatles haven't either, now that I think of it.

I've seen both The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada and The Proposition. I disagree that the former is "way better" than the latter. They are both very good. I rather liked The Proposition a little more. Reminded me of Cormac McCarthy's novel Blood Meridian with its ruthlessness.

Didn't Versus play the Teenbeat show last year with Tuscadero? Good show.

I have not seen Girls Against Boys play DC in a few years. They have been playing shows occasionally in Europe so DC should not be that hard.
