Ok explain how it matters given we will never find enough Republicans to convict?

I am seeing this almost glee from liberals about Trump’s defense being in disarray but are liberals just too stupid to realize he doesn’t need a defense or what am I missing?

This reminds me of the constant liberal lying to themselves about Trump..o he doesn’t want to be elected.... oh he is going to resign, o Mueller is going to get him, o the democrat candidate is going to clean his clock...

I find these types of posts incredibly annoying... is it just that democrats enjoy lying to themselves and getting their hopes up or that they are really incredibly stupid? A combination?

You're not missing anything.  This last attempt at impeachment is a wasted effort and, imo, really makes the democrats look dumb.  It'll never happen.

only time will tell.  Odds are in your favor

but don't think it's anything like the first impeachment
12 more votes seem insurmountable, but I want these senators on record and have them make statements under oath
that may sway more, probably not enough to get to 67, but we'll see
The Dems will control the narrative this time

Your level of delusion saddens me...

It’s the same stupid arguments from the last impeachment: once the evidence comes out Yada Yada

He was rightly impeached, again, but the idea he will be convicted or that the truth matters in any way to Republicans... such that Trump must field a legal team

It’s laughable

or that the truth matters in any way to Republicans...
I guess this is the central crux to this

Don't drag me into another sideinfo argument where he doesn't have his facts straight.

Tim Kaine: “To do a trial knowing you’ll get 55 votes at the max seems to me to be not the right prioritization of our time. Obviously we do a trial — maybe we can do it fast.”

I guess we're all in support of our local senator in this sentiment.  We won't get a conviction, but we can throw some shade.  Let's just let the shade only last for one week.

Sorry...it automatically capitalized

It wouldn’t bother me much if it was just Sidehatch but it’s actually the mainstream liberal view... that’s what bothers me...

Liberals just setting themselves up for failure

If liberals had a more realistic understanding it wouldn’t matter much if he got convicted or not

As things stand expect the usual handwringing, stories about how democrats lost the impeachment fight while also losing their ability to enact their agenda in the first 100 days , and of course Trump rising

No ability to frame it..

It really doesn’t matter if he is convicted...we have to do it cause he tried to burn down the Capitol...do it quickly and get it over with knowing full well it ain’t going anywhere

Architect Of The Capitol Outlines $30 Million In Damages From Pro-Trump Riot

I know that's only 10 cents per American, but they really should make Trump pay for it instead of taxpayers.

We need new laws or regulations for voting rights and news media.

Both present their own set of complications and am doubtful either will happen
