I can see what tripped you up, because YIKES so many words to choose from and i have used that above technique out of frustration in the past.

Broke my streak at 17....

Had I used this technique, I would have gotten it. There were three possible letters for my last two guesses. If I had used a word with those letters in my fifth guess, I would have eliminated two of them and revealed the correct first letter.

This is how this played out for me as well. Had the last 4 letters and 3 possibilities and two guesses left so had to play a word including two of the possible first letters to guarantee victory.

So is it more important to finish the puzzle itself or attempt to finish it in a bragworthy fashion?

I've been begging all of you to have this discussion for weeks. What is the point of Wordle? Is it better to get 100 out of 100 wordle's correct in 6 guesses or is it better to get 95 out of 100 but your average (correct) guess count be lower? And how does that reframing of the goal change the strategy? This is far more interesting to me than the game itself.

it's better to be able to brag about getting it low and done, if you can't get it low at least you get it done
but I get it in one try every time now, just need to switch up your technique

You don't have to make that choice. I've "won" all 20 games, 9x with 3 guesses, 8x with 4 guesses and 3 with 5. No wins with 1, 2 or 6.

Why does everyone feel the need to post their mediocre boards.  I would think those that get the word in 1, 2, or even arguably 3 guesses warrant a post.  The rest are just displaying mediocrity.

Well if it makes you feel any better, I do remember thinking "well done" after reading about your accomplishments.
