Pretty awesome time last night. Stuart was in rare form. Other than Axl Rose or one of the GNR guys in the late 80s early 90s, he's the rock star I wish I was. What a life.
Good setlist. Sad they didn't play any Write About Love songs while playing four songs from the Life Pursuit. Good album, but not worth playing at the expense of other albums.
Piazza NY Catcher is better when it's just Stuart singing with guitar playing. The song is supposed to represent loneliness, which is better represented without the full band playing it.
Was great to hear deep cuts A Summer Wasting and Song for Sunshine. If She Wants Me may be the most underrated B&S deep cut. Such a great track.
Wolf Trap is a really nice venue, too bad it's out in BFE. What's the deal with the lame alcohol rules in the seats? They don't want spilled booze to ruin the plastic seats and concrete flooring? Makes zero sense. But thanks to the beer guy for not opening my beer and allowing me to sneak it into the seats.
Props to all the attractive women who came out for B&S. Certainly enjoyed that.
It would be so easy for B&S to mail it in and just play the same songs every show except for changing up three or four. So many bands do that. Instead, they rotate through 50-60 songs (guessing) so every show is going to have pretty different setlists. That takes a lot of work and takes a truly professional band that cares about providing value to their fans to embrace. On that note, I'd pay 2x as much for tickets for an all B-side or single night. #Ilovemycar
